Aihua is an English language school unlike any other in China in that we operate like a learning community, rather than a corporation. We pride ourselves on the support that we offer to our foreign teachers in the often difficult task of settling into life in China. We believe that the best teachers are those who never stop learning, and we are all learning here: whether it be how to speak or read Chinese, how to teach, or how to deal with an alien culture.
It is true that things can be very cowboy in China: we however are an oasis of plain and fair dealing. What we say we will do is what we will do: if one day there is only one thing left, may it be the honour of this school.
This website is intended to serve the dual purpose of providing potential new foreign teachers with an idea of what life at Aihua is like, and chronicling the life of our school for our students and our staff.
Recently, all of the content of this website was lost. I will rebuild it over time, so that I can continue to save the memories of all the excellent people who have contributed to making Aihua a special place and, by providing a record of the time that they spent here, thank them for all that they have done for us.
